Sharon G. Flake was born December 24, 1955 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is still alive today. As a kid she was shy growing up but says she's over that now. her first job was at a store downtown making sandwiches and she worked as a social worker for 15 years before really pursuing writing. She has a dog named pharaoh and she is the youngest sister of 5 siblings named Veronica, Daphne, Larry, Gregory, and Regenald. She also has a daughter named Brittney. Some of her hobbies are collecting dolls, making homemade greeting cards for her family and friends, and parks and zoos are a couple of her favorite places to go.
Sharon has published a numerous amount of books, starting from her first novel "The Skin i'm in" (1998) , to her latest book "Pinned" (2012) and on average, it takes Sharon 1-2 year's to publish a book.
